Deuterium oxide, also called as heavy water. An excellent solvent for NMR spectroscopy and for other special purposes.
Did You know that D2O is highly hygroscopic? It absorbes ”normal” water from air until it’s concentration is similar to the normal concentration of the water where the deuterium content 1 to 6500, so one deuterium atom from 6500 from hydrogen atoms.
