The method for making some really dry pyridine is to make anhydrous molten potassium hydroxide and pour it into the relative dry pyridine (when still molten). The molten potassium hydroxide will absorb any water presence in it.
For melting potassium hydroxide we had to melt it in a silver bowl (on the picture) what was a bit damaged after the molten KOH (the black silver oxide on it’s surface).
