&lt;p&gt;It was melted in a ceramic crucible with an oxygene/methane torch, under circa 1h. The silver was liquified under a layer of borax (it prevents the oxidation of the molten silver).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;After all have melted we just dropped it in a bucket of water and took out this shiny lump of this beautiful metal. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Should I write it down of you know it? Chemistry is &lt;strong&gt;AWESOME!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thank you a lot for following/supporting this photo project with your interest, your comments and everything else. It feels awesome, that there is at least 1000 people in the word who has an interest in applied organic chemistry and likes this much this photo project. &lt;/p&gt;
